Heading down to The Bukit are the private beaches of Sundays Beach Club and Karma Beach Bali, plus the international drawcard of Nikki Beach.
Bars & Clubs
LataLiana is walking distance from the brand-new Double Six Rooftop and downstairs, the amazing Plantation Grill featuring some of the best steaks and seafood in Bali, MoonLite Kitchen & Bar at the Anantara Hotel, the colorful lights and characters of Dyana Pura, and Opium for night owls.
Towards the centre of Seminyak, check out Jenja on Nakula Road and the iconic Red Carpet Champagne Bar, while both Motel Mexicola and La Favela serve up South American style dinner, drinks and tunes until late.
And if you love clifftop sunsets, then head South to El Cabron or the Rock Bar, perhaps stopping for fresh seafood on the sand at Jimbaran Bay en route home.
Cafés
Coffee culture is thriving in Bali, with cafés of every shape and size on LataLiana’s doorstep: The Dusty Cafe, Zula Vegetarian Paradise, and a whole raft of great beachfront cafés, including Zanzibar, Blue Ocean and Seaside to name but a few.
Further afield is the organic charm of Betelnut in Batu Bolong, the faded French grandeur of Watercress in Batu Belig, the perfect pastries at several Monsieur Spoons, the endless rice paddies surrounding Nook, or the French size coffee bowls and drip coffee at Revolver Espressofor the dedicated caffeine cognoscenti.
Cuisine
There is every conceivable cuisine in every type of setting in and around Seminyak, from the rolling gardens, fountains and fine dining of Sardine, Sarong and Metis, to the Asian delights with designer backdrops of Mamasan and Saigon Street, and the soaring ceilings of the stunning Merah Putih.
As well as booking for these hotspots, our Concierge is always on hand to recommend those little local secrets that lie off the beaten track, and which of the local warungs are worth seeking out.
If you want to learn the secrets of Balinese spices and cuisine, try a cookery class at Saté Bali or even in your villa – at the end of the three-hour lesson, sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labours.
Shopping
Seminyak and surrounds are home to a myriad of shopping experiences: the glitz of DFS Galleria, the antique stalls of Jalan Kunti, the brand new Seminyak Shopping Village and a wealth of local fashionistas who’ve made it big on the world stage such as Biasa, Paul Ropp, Angel Jackson, By The Sea and Anouck; with 69SLAM, Bamboo Blonde, Rip Curl, Nico Nico and Surfer Girl for younger shoppers.
Art galleries range from the traditional masterpieces and Buddhas of Metis Gallery to the cutting-edge Asian modernism of Kody & Ko off Seminyak Square – ask our Concierge to suggest a shortlist to suit your tastes, or even to arrange a personal shopper to guide you to all the hidden gems and beautiful bargains to be uncovered in Bali.
Culture
A 20-minute walk along the beach finds Pura Petitinget, a small but perfectly formed Balinese temple, on a site which has housed a place of worship since the 16th century; but to really unlock the mysteries of the Island of the Gods, we recommend using one of our expert drivers as your cultural guide.
A half-day trip North or South could see you enjoying Bali’s shimmering sunsets from either the imposing clifftop temple at Uluwatu or the sea-temple at Tanah Lot, only accessible at low tide – both of which are extremely beautiful and of great significance to Bali’s Hindu religion.
A full day’s trip can take you up into the dense jungles and soaring ravines of Ubud, Bali’s spiritual heart, where you can explore the Elephant Temple and cleanse your soul in the healing, holy fountains of the Water Temple.

Ubud is also home to The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, an ecological reserve where up to 600 Balinese long-tailed macaques roam freely amount the towering trees and ancient temples, allowing guests to get up close and personal with these amazing creatures, especially if you have food in your pockets! While in the Ubud hinterland, the more adventurous can visit the Bali Elephant Safari Park to ride on one of these sacred beasts.
